Right in the heart of downtown Val-d’Or, you’ll find asphalted bike-paths which enable amateur cyclists and in-line skaters to safely practice these leisure-time activities within an urban and/or country environment. Well-maintained walking trails, which can also be used for mountain-biking, are easily accessible, as well as are top-flight municipal tennis courts.

Knowing that golf is a favourite pastime of business people, Val-d’Or can rightly boast of its superb 18-hole, 6,750-yard golf course in the heart of the city. Two other excellent golf courses, as well as a practice green, are also within easy access.

For motorized-sports enthusiasts, the region offers 300 kilometres of groomed trails for snowmobilers, as well as 100 kilometres of well-maintained ATV trails; these off-road trails will enable you to explore and discover Abitibi’s unique fauna and flora up close.
