Concerned with providing the population of the MRC of the Valley-of-Gold with the same access to quality regional health-care as that which exists in the large urban and metropolitan centres of the province, a group of farsighted men and women created a “Foundation” some 20 years ago. The specific mission of this “Foundation” was, and still is, to contribute to the development of the Val-d’Or Hospital Centre through the raising of funds for the acquisition of specialized medical equipment, as well as for the improvement of medical installations and health-care facilities.
